SUBMIT YOUR 2021 APPLICATION BY OCTOBER 30TH, 2020

Congratulations to our 2020 winners!

Chapter Award: ARIN's Ohio Chapter - ORNA.
Thank you for representing ARIN in everything you do!

CRN Scholarship Award: Elizabeth Gonzales

Beth has been in Radiology Nursing for 16 years. She says, what "I love the most in nursing is to be able to make a difference in the lives of others.  A profession that is diverse that provides many different strengths." Something interesting about Beth: "I am introvert but when I am around with patients I can easily communicate with them. I love to travel and retire in a warmer climate (I guess that's everyone's future plan). At work, my co-workers call me "Mother Goose", some may think that it's a negative thing but I see it the other way around."

Scholarship to Advance Nursing Education in Honor of Dorothy Budnek: Eric Croucher

Eric has been in Radiology Nursing for two and a half years years (University of Louisville Hospital, Yale New Haven Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital) What he loves about nursing is "advocating for patients' wants and rights. Specifically, advocating for limited-English proficient patients. Something interesting about Eric: "I am an ordained minister."

Charlotte Godwin Award: Brandy DiMatteo

Brandy has been in Radiology Nursing for six years this September. What she loves most about nursing is "the vastness. Our profession cares for those who cannot care for themselves in a highly personal way, giving nurses a unique role on the healthcare team. My Master's Degree (which will be completed in August) is in Specialized Populations, and my population is nurses. Our role in the healthcare hierarchy and the power dynamics present deserve deeper examination with respect to the role of nursing in society which is immense, complex, and fascinating." Something interesting about Brandy: "Last year I completed the Warrior Dash with my son."

Helen Malenock Award: Sara Royer
Sara has been an ARIN member since 2019 and has been working as a Radiology Nurse since 2016.

The Linda Strangio Editor’s Award: Lora K. Hromadik, PhD, RN, Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Associate Professor, Department of Nursing and Allied Health Professional & UPMC Presbyterian, Department of Imaging Pittsburgh, PA  AND Laura Sturges, RN, UPMC Presbyterian, Department of Imaging Pittsburgh, PA for their Journal article: "Caring for Patients Receiving 177Lu-DOTATATE, Lutathera®:A Treatment of Hope for Patients With Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors," which appeared in the March 2019 issue of the Journal of Radiology Nursing (Vol 38 #1 pp 28-32).
