ARIN nurses strive to be diverse professionals, welcoming people from all paths of life to foster
belonging and empowerment. At ARIN we recognize there are endless intersections of
diversity, including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, sexual orientation,
ability status, religion, immigration status, economic profile, body habitus and trauma history.
We believe in and support the inclusion of all diversity and strive to create an environment that
both reflects and fosters it. Inclusion is key to this worthwhile and necessary goal, and we
welcome everyone to join us as we continue the work to make ARIN a more inclusive
association. Together we are united in equity for all.

ARIN is committed to creating an environment which integrates diversity, equity, and inclusion
within our internal and external structures to better support our members and our community.
To this end, we have formed a Diversity & Inclusion Task Force to identify and implement
inclusion practices in everything we do.

To continue to effect change as a community, we ask all nurses to:

  • Recognize and acknowledge the experiences of others
  • Don’t be silent – speak up and take action when you see injustice or inequality in your workplace or community
  • Support your diverse teams – listen actively to others’ experiences, facilitate or participate in an educational opportunity
  • Commit to intentionally practicing inclusion
  • Commit to lifelong learning
